I HAVE the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your notes of the 22nd instant, making various inquiries with regard to the Joint International Commission to investigate the production and sale of opium in the Far East.
I have the honour to inform you that I am still in consultation with His Majesty's Secretaries of State for India and the Colonies on the subject, but I hope shortly to be able to reply on all the points raised by your Excellency.
